4000 series medical temperature probes are
calibrated
exactly like the YSI 400 series, but are offering a much wider
program designed exclusively
for
medical applications in patient monitoring.
The program
of YSI 400 series compatible medical temperature probes
and YSI 400 series compatible medical thermistor sensors for patient
monitoring are designed for use with integrated patient monitoring
systems and individual temperature monitors. The intensive care
temperature probes are divided into groups related to their
measuring points of body temperature and the categories of patients.
The program
of YSI 400 series compatible temperature probes is based on exclusive
use of PVC free materials like medical grade silicone and stainless
steel and plastic materials. It consists of YSI 400 series compatible
intensive care temperature
probes which are designed exclusively for rectal body temperature
monitoring, with a design that lock
the temperature probe in the correct position, which in particular
is important under body temperature measurement and febrile
patient monitoring.

The D-RA5 and D-RB4 types YSI 400 series compatible rectal thermistor temperature
probes that are supplied with flanges ensuring that the YSI 400
compatible temperature probes remain in correct position behind,
and locked by the rectal sphincter. By this feature misreading
by a partly escaped temperature probe is avoided. A probe outside
its correct position, can easily cause misreading of one centigrade
or more below the correct temperature, which can result in wrong
diagnosis or therapy.
The RA4, RB3 and RB2 YSI 400 series compatible rectal thermistor temperature
probes are designed without locking flange, but have instead
a rigid cable piece in the length of 4-6 cm from the tip.

series compatible central thermistor temperature probes for
patient monitoring :
The O-type
YSI 400 series compatible thermistor temperature probes are designed
for central body temperature measurements, like in oesophagus,
nasopharynx and rectum during patient monitoring.
The
YSI 400 series
compatible thermistor temperature probe programme is consisting
of the 400 series compatible thermistor probe D-OS4 for
adult patient monitoring, the YSI 400 series compatible thermistor
probe D-OS3 for children patient monitoring from about one year
of age, and the YSI 400 series compatible thermistor probe D-OS2
for neonates and premature patient monitoring.
This series
of YSI 400 series compatible thermistor intensive care temperature
probes has a very smooth and soft surface which makes them most
suitable for body temperature measurement during intensive care
patient monitoring .

for body temperature measurements in intensive care, like monitoring
of thorax temperature, armpit temperature, armpit, legs, fingertips
and toes temperature.
The D-S18 series
YSI 400 series compatible thermistor temperature probes is for adult
patients body temperature measurements in intensive care and
consisting of a solid plastic housing with a thin stainless
steel disk.
The D-S10
series YSI 400 series compatible thermistor temperature probes is
for children body temperature measurements in intensive care
from one year of age. It is made by a solid stainless steel
disk.
The D-S06
series YSI 400 series compatible thermistor temperature probes is
for neonates and prematures body temperature measurements in
