General about EXACON Animal and Veterinary Temperature Probes
All EXACON Thermistor Temperature Probes Series D- are also available in a series T- Thermocouple NBS type T. The probes accept steam sterilization.

Animal and Veterinary Needle Temperature Probes
Stainless needle animal temperature probes are available with diameters from 0,8 mm in NBS type T thermocouples and with diameters from 1,2 mm for veterinary thermistor probes. Stainless steel temperature probes and sensors can be delivered with sharp or rounded tip.

Animal and Veterinary Catheter Temperature Probes
Flexible Veterinary catheter temperature probes of Teflon and similar materials are available with diameters from 0,5 mm in NBS type T thermocouples and with diameters from 1,3 mm for thermistor probes. The available lengths are up to 1000 mm.
Also available in NBS type T thermocouples as multi-point probes with up to 3 measuring points with a typical distances of 10 mm.

Alternative Animal and Veterinary Temperature Probes
Other designs and dimensions are available upon customer specifications and OEM agreements.



Type D-RA6 Rectal Temperature Probe - Rabbits Pyrogen Test
Rectal Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed for rabbits and other animals of similar size. Very suitable for pyrogen testing. Smooth polyacetal electrode tip,
6 mm diameter. Cable diameter 5 mm. Easy introduction as an internal nylon tubing increases the cable stiffness from tip and 60 mm up. Rubber ring for fixing the cable to
the animals tail.


Type D-RA4 Rectal Temperature Probes - Larger Animals
Rectal Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed for pigs and larger dogs.

The electrode tip is made by polyacetal with the diameter 4,5 mm.

The cable diameter is 4 mm and has an increased stiffness in distance of 60 mm from the tip.

	Type D-RB3 Rectal Temperature Probes - Smaller Animals Rectal Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed for smaller dogs, cats and animals of similar size. The polyacetal electrode is 3,5 mm diameter and cable 3 mm diameter. Increased cable stiffness from tip and 40 mm up.
	Type D-RB2 Rectal Temperature Probes - Small Animals Rectal Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed for rats, guinea-pigs and hamsters. Soft silicone electrode, diameter 2 mm and length 40 cm.

	Type D-RB1 Very Fast Rectal Temperature Probes Rectal Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed in stainless steel for extremely fast Rectal Temperature Measurement of cattle, horses and animals of similar sizes. In particular designed for use during veterinary check in veterinary clinics and when examining larger groups of animals.
	Type D-S10 Animal Surface Temperature Probes Skin and Extremity Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed in stainless steel with the diameter 10 mm and 3,6 mm height

	Type D-F1310 Very Thin Animal Temperature Probes Catheter Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed by a 1,3 mm diameter x 100 mm long Teflon tubing. Suitable for rectal use with mice and rats or general laboratory applications, e.g. measurements in liquids or air.
	Type D-F345 Catheter Temperature Probes Catheter Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed by a 1,3 mm diameter x 450 mm long Teflon tubing. Suitable for measurements via catheters and rectal use with mice and rats or general laboratory applications, e.g. measurements in liquids or air.


Type D-N1205/1210 Needle Temperature Probes
Sharp needle Temperature Probe with a Sensor tip designed by a 1,2 mm diameter stainless steel in a length of 50 or 100 mm. For penetration through skin, organs, or hoses of plastic and rubber, e.g. in ventilator systems. The probe is supplied with protective tube.

Data Logging

EXACON thermistor and thermocouple temperature probes are most suitable for different data loggers on the market.

The model shown below has an accuracy of 0,03°C in the range 0-50°C with EXACON D-series Thermistor probes
