EXACON 4000 series medical temperature probes are

calibrated exactly like the 400 series, but EXACON are offering a much wider program

designed exclusively for medical applications during patient monitoring

 

The program of 400 series compatible temperature probes and thermistor sensors for patient monitoring are designed for use with integrated patient monitoring systems and temperature monitors. The temperature probes are divided into groups related to their measuring points of body temperature and the categories of patients.

 

The program of 400 series compatible temperature probes is based on exclusive use of PVC and LATEX free materials like medical grade silicone and stainless steel and high temperature plastic materials and accepting steam sterilization up to 134 deg.C.

  

The 400 series temperature probes for rectal temperature monitoring

The D-RA5 and D-RB4 types 400 series compatible temperature probes are supplied with flanges ensuring that the temperature probes remain in correct position and locked by the rectal sphincter. By this feature misreading by a partly escaped temperature probe is avoided. A probe outside its correct position, can easily cause misreading of one centigrade or more below the correct temperature, which can result in wrong diagnosis or therapy.

 

The RA4, RB3 and RB2 400 series temperature probes for adults, infants and neonates are designed without locking flange, but have instead a rigid cable area in the length of 4-6 cm from the tip.

 

The 400 series temperature probes for central body temperature monitoring

The O-type 400 series compatible thermistor temperature probes are designed for central body temperature measurements, like in oesophagus, nasopharynx and rectum during patient monitoring.

These 400 series compatible temperature probe series  D-OS4  are for adult patients and D-OS3 for children from about one year of age. The D-OS2 series is for neonates and premature babies.

 

The 400 series surface series:

The S-type 400 series thermistor temperature probes, are designed for body temperature measurements in intensive care, like monitoring of thorax temperature, armpit temperature, armpit, legs, fingertips and toes temperature.

 

The D-S18 series 400 series temperature probes is for adult patients body temperature measurements in intensive care and consisting of a solid plastic housing with a thin stainless steel disk.

 

The D-S10 series 400 series temperature probes is for children body temperature measurements in intensive care from one year of age. It is made by a solid stainless steel disk.

 

The D-S06 series 400 series temperature probes is for neonates and prematures body temperature measurements in intensive care, made by a solid stainless steel disk like the D-S10, but with reduced mechanical dimensions.
